ZuluIDE™ is a IDE computer storage emulation platform, where CD-ROM drive images are stored on a standard FAT32 or exFAT-formatted SD card. SDXC cards of up to 512GB are supported. ZuluIDE™ is a derivative of the ZuluSCSI; instead of SCSI, it's an ATAPI/IDE interface.
This is the new Version 2 of the ZuluIDE board.
We primarily make it available for the Roland SP808/SP808ex, to replace the included ZipDrive, but anyone who wants a ZuluIDE™ can buy it!
Now comes in tray colors Black, Semi-Transparent (for the SP808ex), White, and Galaxy Black.
To add to that, the ZuluIDE™ is Zip Drive-compatible, but the ZipDisk size is not required, so not only is ZuluIDE™ Zip Drive-compatible, but it can use disks (that is, images) that are of any size. For example, we supply a 250mb image standard but also supply a 100mb, 1GB, 2GB, and even 4GB image!
Comes with a mounting tray, a Micro SD card with pre-formatted SP808 images, and also some features specifically pertaining to the Roland SP808 - an "eject switch" which. though doesn't eject the SD card, it sends a eject signal so the SP808 enters "diskless mode" so it can be safely powered down. It also comes with a zuluide.ini file on the SD card that supports this, and a 650mb image properly named to be "ZipDrive compliant". (There are also many more images with different sizes for you to decide or not decide to use.)
Last but not least, ZuluIDE comes with a BERG->Molex power adapter so it can be powered by the SP808 itself.
