Shipping policy
Responsibility
The BUYER is responsible for all shipments. The carrier they select is their assigned shipper, and all issues regarding shipping is between the BUYER and SHIPPING COMPANY. Insurance is always offered and is recommended especially with large value orders, and also especially with International shipments.
SamplerZone is responsible for providing a tracking number (if available) to the BUYER. SamplerZone has no more information than what can be gleaned from the tracking system the carrier provides.
SamplerZone is responsible for reasonable packaging and for reasonable release to the shipping company the package after purchase. Once that is completed, SamplerZone has no further responsibility for the package.
BUYER is responsible for all optional insurance desired, and insurance is always offered by SamplerZone.
Postal Service Information
Except for premium expedited services, the way the postal services work is very simple.
- The SENDER puts the package into the system.
- The postal services transport it to the address.
- The destination postal service delivers the package to the address.
- Additionally, there is a tracking system that allows all parties (SENDER, BUYER, POSTAL SERVICES) to see where the package was at last barcode scan.
- You can purchase shipping insurance at the time of sending, so if a package is not shown as delivered, you can get refunded for the amount of insurance you paid for.
What the postal services DON'T DO is "find out where exactly a package is". Postal services do not have any extra information or private systems that is not given to you. And if the tracking system seems to end at a particular location for a long period of time, that usually means the package was "lost" or more likely stolen - either by ne'er do well employees or by porch pirates.
Postal services keep their prices low (relatively) and remove liability by not guaranteeing delivery and safety of packages, preferring to offer shipping insurance to those senders who elect to pay for it.
If you elected for Express shipping, there is a guaranteed time of delivery. If the package does not arrive within that time period, please contact SamplerZone and they will submit a Refund Request to the postal service. If it is approved, the postal service will refund SamplerZone and SamplerZone will pass that onto you.
