This is a quality 3rd-party SCSI Interface for your Akai S1000. It is fully compatible with the S1000-series, plus it has several special features.
First, it supplies termination power to the SCSI bus, thus enabling external (and internal) units (such as ZuluSCSI) to not require external power.
Second, it uses the far more common DB25 jack, enabling usage of ZuluSCSI Pico Slim direct plugin, plus better compatibility overall.
This is a clone of the Akai's IB-103 SCSI hard drive interface board, exactly duplicating the original's features, plus it allows an internal installation of a drive such as a ZuluSCSI, and of course (as noted above) supplies 5v power to power external devices such as a ZuluSCSI.
